Money · Business · AI, for 15–18 year olds

Give your teenager a head start on the world they’re about to walk into.

The careers they’re preparing for are changing fast. In two days, live in Dubai, students learn how money, business and AI really work, from people who have done it at Goldman Sachs, Citi, HSBC and in venture capital.

2 days, 10:00–15:00 150 students maximum Ages 15–18 Summer 2027 Dubai, venue to be announced

Why it matters

School covers the basics. We show how it really works.

Most teenagers already use AI and see money talk all over social media. Few know how any of it works in practice. We close that gap in two days, then give them the tools to keep learning on their own.

Money

How money grows, and how it disappears

Compounding, investing, debt, and how to spot a scam or a “finfluencer” before it costs you.

Business

How startups really work

Finding a problem worth solving, who pays and why, and how investors decide what to back.

AI

AI as a co-founder, not a ghostwriter

Using AI to research, challenge and build, and knowing when it’s wrong. No “what is ChatGPT” basics.

Underneath it all, how first movers think:

  • Problems are opportunities
  • Think in expected value
  • Look for asymmetric bets
  • Test ideas cheaply
  • Ask who pays, and why
  • Ask for what you want

The two days

Built around doing, not listening.

Students sit with their team of 3–4 for both days, on their own laptops. A live trading game runs from the first hour to the last, and every team builds and pitches a startup.

Day 1

Money, markets and the startup spark

  1. Welcome; Market Day opens
  2. Money 101: saving, budgeting and compound interest
  3. Investing: shares, index funds and the long game
  4. The dark side of money: debt, credit, scams and finfluencers
  5. How startups work, and how investors think
  6. Startup Challenge, block 1: find a problem
  7. Day 1 leaderboard
Day 2

AI, careers and the pitch final

  1. AI for everyone: live demos and using it well
  2. Startup Challenge, block 2: shape the business with AI
  3. Careers and you: first salary, personal brand, negotiation
  4. Startup Challenge, block 3: build the pitch
  5. The final: five teams pitch on stage, the room votes
  6. Market Day results and awards

Breaks and lunch are built into both days. Students bring their own laptop and lunch.

Two things they won’t forget

Learn money by trading, and business by building.

Market Day

A live market, 38 teams, AED 100,000 each

Every team manages a play-money portfolio across both days. Breaking headlines move prices: a recall, a rate rise, a crypto token that rockets on hype and then collapses.

World Index Fund +4.2% Nova AI +11.6% Volt Motors −8.9% MoonCoin −61%

They learn diversification, hype, trading costs and panic selling by living through them, not by hearing about them.

The Startup Challenge

Build a startup with AI. Pitch it on stage.

Each team finds a real problem, tests the idea with AI, and builds a five-slide pitch, a logo and a one-page plan. Five teams pitch live; the room votes for a crowd favourite.

  • Judged on thinking, not polish
  • Every team must show one thing AI got wrong
  • Written feedback for every team, not just the finalists

What they leave with

Two days, and things they keep using.

A startup pack

Their team’s one-page plan, five-slide pitch deck and logo.

Written feedback

Notes on their team’s pitch from the founders.

A certificate

Useful for university applications and personal statements.

The First Movers network

Alumni access to future sessions, events and each other.

Who teaches it

Taught by people who’ve done it.

No outside facilitators. The three founders run both days from the stage and walk the rows while teams work.

Nick

Former trader at Citibank and executive director at Goldman Sachs. Founded a sports business in the UK. Now CEO of a trading firm.

Sam

One of the UAE’s leading venture capital investors. Backs founders for a living.

Sarah

Former Citigroup trader and venture capital investor. Ran HSBC’s ‘next generation’ venture arm as a director.

Questions

What parents ask us.

Does my teenager need to know anything about money or business?

No. We start from scratch and move quickly. Students who already know a bit get plenty to stretch them, especially in Market Day and the Startup Challenge.

Is this a summer camp?

No. It’s two focused days with three founders who have worked in markets, banking and venture capital, built around doing: a live market, a startup to build and a pitch to deliver.

What will they actually do with AI?

Use it the way professionals do: to research a market, stress-test an idea and design a pitch, and to spot when it’s wrong. They use whichever approved AI tool suits their age, and they never put personal details into it.

What do they need to bring?

A laptop with a charger, and lunch. Everything else is provided.

How are students looked after?

Their safety comes first. Before booking opens we’ll publish our full safeguarding approach here, covering staff checks, supervision, venue arrangements and first aid.

When can we book?

Booking for summer 2027 opens in early 2027. Register your interest and you’ll hear before places are offered publicly.
